The opportunity
At ANDPAD Vietnam, we are building AI-driven web and mobile applications to transform the construction industry. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about quality and has a strong engineering mindset to help us scale our product with confidence.
In this role, you will act as a key individual contributor, owning test strategy and driving quality improvements across the product team. You will work closely with AI projects to ensure high-quality releases with fast delivery.
Job Scope
- Design, build, and maintain automation test frameworks for Web and API (using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Collaborate with Product and AI teams to define quality metrics for AI-driven features
- Participate in upstream processes to execute testing efficiently and identify risks early.
- Ensure high test coverage across UI, API, and system levels
- Formulate test strategies and plans to ensure quality and delivery speed at the team level.
- Drive SDLC process improvement and "Shift-Left" initiatives based on bug trend and root cause analysis.
- Mentor others and support their professional growth through knowledge sharing.
Note: This is a highly technical role focused on engineering and automation, not manual testing.

- Automation test: Autify, Magicpod
- Others: swagger, Docker, Figma, Confluence, JIRA, esa
Requirements
- Must-have:
- Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- 7-8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and 3-4+ years in Test (SDET) or Automation Engineer, specializing in Web or Mobile applications
- Strong coding skills in modern programming languages (such as Go, RoR, Python, JavaScript/Typescript) with a proven track record of designing test automation frameworks
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Developers and Product Managers
- Preferred:
- Experience leading or mentoring a small QA team
- Experience in test management within a product team or Agile/Scrum team environment
- Experience in development projects for Japanese companies
- Knowledge of business flows in the Architecture/Construction industry
- Experience in non-functional testing (Security, Performance, Scalability)
- Continuous Learning Mindset: A self-driven learner who continuously explores and adopts new technologies and methodologies to stay updated
